Text Box: WELCOME PORTSMOUTH AMBULANCE!

Effective 12:01 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2008, MTS Ambulance purchased Portsmouth Ambulance. During the initial transition period, daily operations for Portsmouth Ambulance and MTS Ambulance should see no obvious changes regarding units, crews or the service as a whole.

At this time, all current employee’s jobs are secure, and we hope to increase our employee numbers further for future endeavors. Finally, we welcome this opportunity to combine these two experienced services into one world class EMS agency.

I would like to personally welcome all Portsmouth employees into the MTS family. We are slowly making subtle changes to make us more effective. The combined resources will enable us to continue our standard of patient care and make us more cost effective.

Oh, by the way, we have 3 new units. #544 will go into service in Ashland, #545 will go into service in Portsmouth and #546 will go into service in Piketon. They are being picked up Friday in Florida. They should be ready for service before the first of the year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
